Let me add HOT to those list of impressions .. also not many gringos around .. spoke to an American guy at breakfast this morning and he said it is low season, there only seemed to be one other tourist at my hostel last night (and only saw him briefly when I asked him a good place to eat dinner).
I had a dormitory room to myself last night .. so I had the fan positioned on my feet and on flat out the whole night .. didn´t sleep super well .. woke up a stack of times .. at one point the market next door got it´s deliveries by truck and geez it was loud .. so much so I sacrificed what little air I was getting from outside to shut the sliding door.
